What makes a file print-ready?
A print-ready file has artwork extending past the trim line (bleed), important content kept away from the edges (safe area), images at high enough resolution, and colour set up for printing rather than for a screen. Send us what you have and we will tell you what needs changing — that check is free.
The four things that matter
- Bleed — extend backgrounds about 1/8" past the trim line, so a tiny cutting shift never leaves a white sliver.
- Safe area — keep text and logos about 1/8" inside the trim line, so nothing important gets cut.
- Resolution — images around 300dpi at final size. A photo that looks sharp on screen can still print soft.
- Colour — printing uses CMYK. Bright screen colours, especially vivid blues and greens, shift when converted.
We recommend
Send a PDF where you can. It carries fonts and images together, so it arrives as you intended more reliably than a Word or Canva export.
