I am tax exempt, or my mailing goes out of state
Tell us before you pay. If your mailing goes to recipients outside New Jersey, that portion is exempt and we calculate it from the routes or list you selected. If your organisation is exempt, we need your exemption certificate on file.
- Call 908.232.7770 before completing your order, and tell us which applies.
- For an exempt organisation, we will arrange how to get your exemption certificate to us securely and confirm what we need.
- For an out-of-state mailing, no paperwork is usually needed — the exemption follows the destinations you selected.
L&B policy
We can accept a New Jersey exemption certificate where it applies, and we keep it on file. Saying you are exempt is not itself an exemption — a valid certificate is what supports it, so call us and we will sort out what is needed.
We recommend
Raise it before paying rather than after. Correcting tax on a completed order is slower for both of us than getting it right at checkout.
