Addressed mail & mailing lists

What happens to bad rows in my mailing list?

Rows without a usable address cannot be mailed. We tell you the count we read from your file before you pay, so the number you are charged for is the number we can actually mail.

The count shown after upload is the count of address rows we found — not the number of lines in your file. If those differ, the difference is blank rows, header rows, or records with nothing to deliver to.

We recommend

A list that has not been cleaned in a couple of years usually has more movement in it than people expect. If a mailing matters, it is worth a look before you send it rather than after.

USPS does not forward or return EDDM mail, but addressed mail behaves like ordinary mail — an undeliverable piece may come back depending on the class and endorsements used. Ask us if returns matter for your mailing.
